Thyme Caramelized Onion, Brie, Pear and Candied Walnut Pizza
My sister-in-law made a version of this pizza dough on the grill for my husband and me while we were in Hawaii. It was fantastic! You can use the dough in so many ways—as a dinner bread, a pizza, or even for sandwiches. For this recipe, I created a savory and sweet pizza. The fresh thyme adds another layer of flavor to the sweetness of the caramelized onions, while the pears and candied walnuts blend perfectly with the creaminess of the brie. It’s easy to make and delicious; and the grill adds that extra oomph you expect from a wood-fired pizza oven.
